Welcome! I am Diane Lane, the founder of Soul Lane.
My journey has taken me through a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Psychology, working as a Carer with people who have physical challenges of all ages and demographics in both the private and public sectors, and working with those bereaved by suicide in the community.
It was during the most difficult times in my own life that I have truly discovered the therapeutic potential of art, music, meditation, writing and yoga. These elements (including a strong connection to nature) have always offered a sanctuary, helping me to navigate emotional turmoil and find inner, longer-lasting strength. I’ve also been gifted some extraordinary teachers, lessons from which I don’t have a piece of paper or letters after my name, but who are too numerous to mention.
These things continue to inspire me each moment of my day, and I believe I can offer some great tools for others to feel inspired as well.
My journey has more recently led me towards Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapy, gaining qualifications via the College of Conscious Living. This is a profound and effective healing tool, and I am looking forward continued learning around this and to sharing it with others.
Our mission is to create a space where people can come and pause from their everyday stresses, reconnecting with their inner child.
At Soul Lane we aim to foster a safe, nurturing place where nonjudgement and respect are embraced in a peaceful and relaxing environment.
Anyone can do Holistic Integrative Creative Arts Therapy. You don’t need to be an artist or to feel the need for “therapy” to feel the benefits! Just come and enjoy!
Soul Lane aims to guide participants through intuitively planned sessions, with different creative components each time allowing participants to explore different mediums and techniques.
Each session will always have a savasana/relaxation and a meditation/reflective component, with access to debrief afterwards. Counselling referral base can be provided if further support is needed.
Journaling or keeping our creations is also an important part of the process and is a great way of keeping a record of your journey.
All you will need to bring is a curious mind, an open heart and comfy clothing (you might get messy so something you don’t mind getting marks on…). It’s ok if you get messy by the way.
(There will be half day/longer workshops in future which will include much more of the above plus delicious refreshments.)
